CLINICAL INTERNS (MSW CANDIDATES)
Neurodiverse Counseling is excited to offer clinical internship opportunities for Master of Social Work (MSW) students in their final year of study. Our collaborative and inclusive group practice provides a supportive environment where interns gain both clinical and non-clinical experience in a private practice setting. Supervision is provided to support interns in meeting their required practicum hours. We are dedicated to serving people from all backgrounds, and we strongly encourage Neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ applicants to apply!

COMPENSATION

We offer mentorship and ongoing support to clinical interns. Compensation is based on the number of sessions provided. Successful clinical interns work toward building a part-time caseload while gaining valuable experience.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CLINICAL INTERNS WHO:
We are seeking passionate, motivated, and driven applicants to complete their practicum hours in a warm and supportive telehealth-based private practice based in Boston. QUALIFICATIONS

Reliable internet connection & quiet workspace required.

Familiarity with telehealth platforms (or willingness to learn).

Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems (or willingness to learn).

Comfortable using technology, conducting virtual sessions, and working in a remote setting.

Self-motivated, receptive to feedback, growth-oriented, and passionate about clinical work.

Must have liability insurance (Interns are typically covered under their educational institution’s policy).
EXPECTATIONS
-
Currently in the final year of your MSW Master’s Program (We currently have partnerships with BUSSW & BCSSW)*

Scheduled for at least three days (24 hours) per week

Minimum caseload of 8-10 clients per week
-
A minimum of 6-8 hours/week of administrative work
-
A minimum of a 9 month commitment to ND Counseling

Run a short-term group or project

Attend staff meetings and supervision groups

WHAT WE OFFER
Program Components & Learning Objectives

Develop proficiency in conducting intake assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, writing progress notes, and creating treatment plans.

Gain experience providing evidence-based individual counseling to diverse patient populations.
-
Enhance clinical skills by utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including crisis intervention, risk assessment, and ethical decision-making.

Understand the administrative aspects of private psychotherapy practice, including scheduling, record-keeping, and professional networking.
Supervision & Mentorship
-
Receive weekly individual and group supervision sessions to discuss cases, therapeutic interventions, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Attend a weekly training and support meeting with Clinical Director Oumaima Mansouri, LICSW to ensure a meaningful and well-supported internship experience.
Clinical Experience
-
Work directly with clients under the supervision of Oumaima Mansouri, LICSW.

Conduct intake assessments, provide individual counseling sessions, write progress notes, and develop treatment plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct 20-minute complimentary video consultations.
04.
Coordinate client care with clinical and administrative staff.
02.
Provide individual psychotherapy and conduct evaluations.
05.
Assist clients in navigating out-of-network insurance with administrative support.
03.
Document treatment notes in accordance with NASW and APA guidelines.
